Sharing your card: NFC, QR codes and links
Write your card to an NFC tag, print its QR code, and choose what a tap does.
Each card has a link of the form /p/your-organisation/your-card. Anyone who opens it sees your card in
their browser, with nothing to install.
NFC cards and stickers
- Open the card in Cards and choose NFC.
- Copy the NFC link it shows. It ends in
?via=nfc, so Fronko knows a visit came from a tap. - Write the link to a blank NFC card or sticker (NTAG213 or larger) with an NFC writing app such as NFC Tools, as a “URL” record.
- Tap it with a phone to check it opens your card.
Because the tag holds a link, you can change your card at any time without rewriting it.
QR codes
Every card has a QR code (ending in ?via=qr) you can download and print on paper cards, badges, stands
or slides. You can put your logo or a photo in the middle.
What a tap or scan does
For NFC and QR visits separately, choose in the card editor what happens when the card opens:
- Show profile: open the card as usual.
- Save contact: download the contact file straight away, so the phone offers to save it.
- Open contact form: ask the visitor for their details first.
Saving your contact
The Save contact button downloads a vCard with your name, title, company, phone, email, website and photo. iPhones and Android phones add it to Contacts in one tap.
Search engines
Cards are hidden from search engines by default. Turn on Show in search engines in the card editor if you want people to find it on Google.
